Great Place to Live
A 2011 Ipsos Reid study confirmed what the people of the County of Grande Prairie already knew about their community. Ninety-six per cent of those responding agreed that this is a great place to live. One reason for the high satisfaction rate is the complete range of recreational options available in the region.
Present and Future Growth
The Crosslink County Sportsplex meets a basic need for more ice time along with access to an indoor soccer facility. It accommodates year round league action and training. The complex has the space to meet present demands while providing options for future growth.
More than 500,000 people will visit the facility each year. The Sportsplex is the centre of nonstop sports four seasons of the year.
This facility does not compete with other recreational facilities. It adds capacity to the wide choice of options now available throughout the region like the new pool in Beaverlodge and the City of Grande Prairie’s Eastlink Centre.
The Sportsplex and site is owned by the County of Grande Prairie, and operated by Calgary-based NUSTADIA RECREATION Inc. NUSTADIA operates numerous recreation complexes across Canada including the BMO Centre in Halifax, Hamilton, Oshawa, Toronto, Moncton, Pictou and Pitt Meadows Arena Complex (near Vancouver).
